About our Snuggle Tunnels
Guinea pigs love snuggle tunnels, and our Little Squeakers are no different! Snuggle tunnels are perfect for running through, hiding inside, snoozing on top of, and even (in the case of our piggies anyway!) using as a pillow.🩷
At Little Squeaks Piggie Boutique we believe in offering you the customer choice, as we are aware that all piggies and set ups are different and something that suits one piggie or cage may not necessarily suit another. Therefore we are now pleased to offer two types of Snuggle Tunnel; the ‘Soft and Squishy’ Snuggle Tunnel and the ‘Stay Open’ Snuggle Tunnel.
The ‘Soft and Squishy’ Snuggle Tunnel is designed without plastic boning or foam around the openings, as we find that piggies enjoy opening the tunnels themselves, as a form of enrichment. The tunnels will therefore flatten when your piggies lay on top or run over it. Our own piggies love this style of tunnel, and do enjoy laying on top of it as well as inside. As the openings are not structured they feel very snug and secure when inside. It is therefore very popular with our more timid piggies, especially our rescue boar Dexter 🩵
The new style ‘Stay Open’ Snuggle Tunnel is made with plastic boning around each opening, to provide structure and support to ensure that the tunnel, quite literally, well… stays open!! The boning is encased in an extra tube of fleece and sewn hidden within the lining of the opening, as safety of your precious piggies is our priority. Although these tunnels will stay open at the openings, the tunnel does still squish down if your piggies run over it or lay on top of it (for maximum coziness!) however the opening will spring back up, ensuring it stays open!
| Our snuggle tunnels aren’t rigid tunnels, so will squish and squash, and you may find your piggies just laying right on top of them, but we feel this just adds to the fun! |
